Geography K–10 Syllabus Vol 1: K–6

This print version of the current Geography K–10 Syllabus identifies the knowledge, understanding, skills, values and attitudes that NSW primary school students are expected to develop.

Teachers have the flexibility to make decisions about the sequence of learning, the emphasis given to certain content and any adjustments required based on student needs, interests and abilities.

The aim of geography in Years K–10 is to stimulate students' interest in and engagement with the world. Through geographical inquiry they develop an understanding of the interactions between people, places and environments across a range of scales in order to become informed, responsible and active citizens.�/ul
